The Somali Society Party (SSP) has officially appointed Mr. Abdullahi Bashir Ahmed as Director of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management within the Party.
The appointment is part of the Party’s efforts to strengthen its activities in the areas of humanitarian affairs, community support, disaster preparedness, emergency response, and disaster management.
According to the appointment letter, Mr. Abdullahi Bashir Ahmed will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the Party’s humanitarian and community-related activities, while promoting effective preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters.
The Party said the new appointee is expected to carry out his responsibilities with integrity, professionalism, accountability, dedication, and commitment to the principles and objectives of the Somali Society Party.
The appointment takes effect from 3 February 2026.
The Somali Society Party (SSP) congratulated Mr. Abdullahi Bashir Ahmed on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him.
